Mischievous bookmaking outfit Paddy Power will be filming their new television advertising campaign next week.   One of their nutty adverts is set to feature a footballing legend from yesteryear and the marketing boffins at Paddy Power are letting their punters decide which one gets the nod by means of a public vote. 

Six players have been short-listed by the bookie and the player that gets the most votes through the website www.passmethesoap.com will front up the company’s new advertising campaign.  

The panel of players short listed to star in the Paddy Power advertising campaign are Terry Hurlock, Viv Anderson, Bruce Grobbelaar, Neville Southall, Peter Beardsley and Carlton Palmer.  Voting will close at 12-midnight on Monday, 9^th February next with the identity of winner revealed on the website the following day. 

The advertising campaign is due to commence in early March. 

Paddy Power said “To be honest I’d be happy with any of the lads starring in the new ads but its entirely down to our punters to decide and to set the record straight I don’t plan to share a bath with any of them ! ”
